The Tin Committee is an organization established by 3 worldwide capsule manufacturers, protected by ITRI, a global authority dedicated to the support of the tin industry.

The objective of the Tin Committee is to inform and raise awareness about the benefits of pure tin as an excellent raw material for high quality wines & spirits. Any manufacturer that pursues the same interest can join the Committee if they wish.

The tin capsule is known internationally and is identified with the best wines & spirits on the market. It is made in one piece of a high quality material, it has 99,5% purity and is 100% recyclable. Its characteristics enable it to adapt with precision and finesse to any bottle. Its final thickness gives the consumer a sense of quality that differentiates tin capsule from other capsules in terms of texture.

The Tin Committee was founded last March in Bordeaux and its official presentation will take place in Vinexpo Asia Pacific that wil be held this year in Hong Kong from May 27th to May 29th. After that, a new event will be held in Europe. The date is still to be confirmed.

For Jose Sáenz de Santa María, CEO of Rivercap: "Tin is a highly malleable material that reaches perfection and elegancy in the image transmited to the final consumer".
